Discarded,
lying on the floor,
trodden on by all who pass,
without a thought or care.
Masks
we craft so carefully,
to hide behind,
just left to rot
to dust,
once the mask is
cracked.
Under the mask we live,
afraid to show our life for real.
The terror
of knowing
we are real
and fragile,
is
too much for some.
